23/7/2007 1:37 - The bridge on Bridge Street didn't collapse (a case of scaremongering I think!). David Cameron visited Witney, Bampton and Clanfield on Sunday to see the flooding for himself.
21/7/2007 17:15 - Bridge Street is completely under water and I've been told that the bridge is in danger of collapsing.
21/7/2007 10:05 - Just been told that the water level on Thorney Leys Road has dropped, but may still be closed at the moment.
20/7/2007 18:11 - Sandbags are being deployed in some houses in Burwell Meadow (near the Thorney Leys Road end). The water looks as though it's about 3 feet deep in places.
20/7/2007 17:20 - A fire engine has been sent to the Thorney Leys Road/Burwell Meadow area where water levels have risen. An HGV, "transit" van and Vauxhall Astra have been abandoned on Thorney Leys Road.

14/07/2007 12:15 - We are used to aircraft flying over Witney, but today some more unusual machines are passing overhead on their way to and from The Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

24/6/2007 18:22 - The Deer Park Tesco is closed at the moment. There's a sign on the window saying that due to staff shortages it is closed until further notice.
24/6/2007 - I saw a notice on a signpost last night advertising the Witney Motor Show. The show will take place on the evening of 5th July.
23/6/2007 - Another glorious summer day in Witney today. And by glorious I mean horrible! Absolutely pouring down out there.
