A medium sized public house with quite large beer garden outside.
A young person's pub, can get noisy, very popular at the weekends, with sporting events sometimes shown on TV, both inside and in the garden. Can get rowdy near closing times, with door staff on entrances.
The Eagle Vaults was updated in the late 90's, and is now starting to feel worn, but still acceptable. The front looks quite nice with hanging baskets.
The draught beer is nothing special, but I havn't had a bad pint yet.
Find the gent's before you start drinking - it is quite well hidden, the ladies is easier to find.
A good starting out pub, a T shirt and jeans pub.

A medium sized public house , with paved court yard outside.
Revamped in the late 90's, but looks tacky and worn, a lot of the drinkers went elsewhere after the revamp, sad because it was a good pub - when Blue was the landlord - update ... is now getting more popular , because it isn't so crowded and you can get to the bar
But it is easy to get in, with space, and you can get to the bar, with all the standard brews
Also basic food is served untill about 8.30
A T shirt and jeans pub, good if every else is packed.

Medium sized bar, with dance floor and small yard out the front.
Quiet during the week, but can get packed at the weekends, but you usually can get served. Serves food during the day. Some sporting events on the inside TV
Toilets up stairs, mainly young crowd at the weekend, with noisy music - sometimes good though.

Medium Bar / Small Club , 4 bar's, 1 small & 1 large dance floor, various seating areas/balcony & small stage. It's a converted cinema.
Everyone loves to hate the palace, but still go there anyway ... at some time, some nights promotions, can be a good night, often packed, but you can get a drink and can get to the toilets. Food also served, during the day is open as a cafe.

Medium Bar / Small club , 3 bar's , 2 stage's , 1 small & 1 large dance floor, various seating areas, quiet during the day, downstairs packed at the weekends - upstairs not so bad, toilets upstairs, disabled toilets downstairs, can be very good at the weekends.

Small old pub, good selection of real ales in traditional pub with not too much noise. Staff friendly, looks original, getting busy nowadays, taken some trade from other pubs in town. Cosy
