Blankets - Until recently, Witney was a world famous producer of high quality blankets. The blanket factories have been demolished to make way for housing.

Bridge Street - One of the worst affected streets in the July 2007 flooding which hit Witney.

Buttercross - Situated in the market square is the Buttercross, a medieval marketing and meeting place where women from neighbouring villages gathered to sell butter and eggs. The Buttercross has a steeply gabled roof with a clock-turret added in 1683.
